Thomas J. Lydon

Born: Portland, Maine
June 3, 1927

Judge Lydon was appointed Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims on October 1, 1982, and entered on duty that same date. He has served as a Senior Judge of the Court since August 1, 1987.  He graduated from the University of Maine, receiving a B.A. degree in 1952 and from Georgetown Law School, receiving an L.L.B. degree in 1955 and an L.L.M. degree in 1957. He served in the United States Navy, 1945-1946.

Judge Lydon formerly served as a Supervisory Trial Attorney, United States Department of Justice, 1955-1972, and as a Commissioner, United States Court of Claims, 1972-1982.
