Hurricane Track Forecasting

Principal Investigators:
Sim Aberson

Objectives:
To improve our basic physical understanding and forecasts of tropical cyclone motion. To use targeting of dropsonde observations to improve numerical forecasts. Study use of ensemble forecast methods in improving forecast scores, and track any improvements in landfall forecasts.
