Cross-Cutting Assessments

Since 2001, Argonne has provided a global technical perspective to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, monitoring and reporting to DOE on relevant vehicle technology activities in Europe and Asia. Reports are generated by the International Technology and Program Assessment.

In addition, Argonne National Laboratory (through a subcontractor) is responsible for developing the GPRA (Government Performance and Results Act) benefits estimates for EERE's Vehicle Technologies Program's Heavy Vehicle Technology research activities. This Heavy Vehicle Technologies assessment helps determine which vehicles offer the best potential to benefit from an investment in energy-conserving technology.
