The Center for Information Technology (CIT) offers a variety of courses designed to help employees use NIH computer, network, and information systems efficiently and effectively. The CIT training program is open, without charge, to CIT employees and to all customers of CIT computing facilities. For information about and registration for upcoming classes, call (301) 594-6248.

NIH Computer Resources

The NIH offers a variety of services to NIH employees free of charge. These services include computer-based instruction in the use of various software programs, staff assistance and advice on computer software capabilities and hardware- or software-related problems, and much more.

The NIH Training Center (NIHTC) offers NIH employees a wide array of classroom courses, as well as on-line training courses in the following subject categories:
  • NIH Orientation for New Employees
  • Ethics Orientation for New NIH Employees
  • NIH Technology Transfer Training
  • NIH Research Ethics Training
Classroom courses are offered at Executive Plaza South (EPS) and Executive Plaza North (EPN) in Rockville, MD.

Hours: Open daily from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The On-Campus Work Center (OCWC) is a place where NIH employees can go between or after meetings or conferences to work, use a computer, make a phone call, log in to check e-mail, or send a fax. It is designed for short-term use, as needed by staff. There is no charge for using the OCWC.

These two locations are closed for government holidays.
