How can I pay my overpayment?

You may pay an overpayment by check, money order or credit card; by phone, mail, or in person at your local office.  

If you prefer to mail your payment, use the following mailing addresses:  

For Social Security (Title 2) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) overpayments:

To repay an overpayment by phone, call us at the toll-free number shown on your overpayment notice and have that notice at hand when you call.  If you no longer have your notice, you may call us at 1-800-772-1213.
