Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (Public Law
103-62) requires that "the head of each agency shall
submit to the Director of the Office of Management and
Budget and to the Congress a strategic plan for program

Strategic Plan on February 12, 2004. Three months earlier, on November 10, 2003, SC issued
Facilities for the Future of Science, A Twenty-Year
Outlook, which was updated on October 11, 2007 (Interim

The Secretary of Energy, Samuel
W. Bodman, issued the fifth DOE Strategic Plan (DOE/CF-0010)
on October 2, 2006. The top-line
