Visitor Services hours of operation are from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time Monday–Thursday.

The Y-12 National Security Complex resides in an especially beautiful part of our state. Though situated in a valley between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Mountains, the facility is not at all difficult to reach. The Y-12 Complex is only minutes from the City of Oak Ridge, under 30 minutes from Knoxville, and within easy driving distance of McGhee-Tyson International Airport.

The information on our website is intended to help you prepare for your visit. Because Y-12 plays an integral role in support of our nation’s nuclear defense policies, you will want to become acquainted with basic security and safety rules and procedures.
