The Red Cross and photography began at about the same time. As the organization’s humanitarian workers traveled throughout the globe to ease the suffering brought on by armed conflict, many captured what they witnessed on film. Over the decades, more than 110,000 images have been collected at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva.
