USCIS Houston Office Closes Due to Hurricane Ike
Harlingen, Tex. office remains open, watching storm's track

Update- September 14 — USCIS' Houston, Texas offices will remain closed Monday and Tuesday September 15 and 16.

 

DALLAS—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that its Houston office at 126 Northpoint will close for business on Friday, Sept. 12 due to approaching Hurricane Ike.  All three local Application Support Centers (see locations below) have already closed and will remain closed until further notice.

Customers with naturalization appointments scheduled for Friday, Sept. 12, will automatically be rescheduled for Oct. 21.  Permanent residency appointments that were scheduled for Friday, Sept. 12, will automatically be rescheduled for Sept. 26.  Customers with INFOPASS appointments will need to reschedule.  Visit the Web site at the Related Links section of this page for instructions on how to reschedule.  

USCIS’ office in Harlingen, Tex. is currently open; however, officials will continue to reassess the situation there depending on the storm’s movement.

Houston Application Support Centers are located at the following locations:

  • Northwest (10555 Northwest Freeway, #150);
  • Southeast (8505 Gulf Freeway); and
  • Southwest (7086 Bissonnet).
