Ballot Counting Wraps Fourth Night

Sept. 22, 2006 – SEATTLE – King County Elections staff have wrapped up their fourth day of ballot counting for the 2006 primary with 39,734 additional ballots added to the election totals today.

"Ballot counting is going smoothly and I’m reassured by the energy and effort made by staff to count ballots accurately," said Jim Buck, Interim Director of Records, Elections and Licensing Services.

King County staff will be counting ballots on Saturday and will post results online at 7 p.m. at http://www.metrokc.gov/elections/abstats/. Tabulation will resume Monday morning.
