New labor force projections, spanning 1988 to 2000

The labor force is expected to expand at an annual rate of 1.2 percent, a much slower pace than in 1976-88.  Fast-growing segments include blacks, Hispanics, and the Asian and other group.  This article profiles projected growth in the U.S. labor force from 1988 to 2000.
