Y-12 Procurement purchases a diverse range of goods and services, providing opportunities for small, small disadvantaged, and woman-owned businesses and for minority institutions. Materials and services procured can be reviewed on Procurement's web site.

The Socioeconomic Programs Office regularly participates in trade shows, conferences and special seminars to identify qualified firms that may be used in Y-12 procurement activities. A notable example is the Department of Energy's annual Small Business Conference, to which we send representatives.

On August 5, 2008, we hosted the Veterans Business Conference at Y‑12's New Hope Center. To view selected conference presentations, see our Events page.

The Socioeconomic Programs Office also serves as a Dynamic Small Business Search access station site for the Small Business Administration (SBA). This on-line service was created by the SBA to champion America's small business entrepreneurs through a procurement marketing and access network.
