• Taxes on sales to Y-12 are subject to the the provisions of the State of Tennessee Sales Tax Rule and Regulation Number 68. See a copy of the Y-12 Blanket Certificate of Resale, which includes the letter from the Tennessee Department of Revenue (PDF).
• As of August 2004, the use of cellular telephones at Y-12 has been restricted. Unless authorized by Y-12, all subcontractor cellular telephones must be powered off when you enter the boundary of Y‑12. Read more detail in this official letter (PDF).
• Safety is a fundamental corporate value at Y‑12. Because there is some element of risk in all jobs, each commercial entity engaged in business with Y‑12 must meet certain expections for all work perfomed on site. Read more detail in this official letter (PDF).
• Financial information, including a link to the Vendor Account Status System (VASS) is available on the Accounts Payable web site.
• An AVID agreement is an electronic, on-line, just-in-time purchasing system designed to facilitate rapid, inexpensive acquisition of maintenance, repair and operating items. Typical commodities available through AVID agreements include electrical supplies, paper, lab supplies, building supplies, personal computers, electronics, and office supplies. The system accommodates more than 2500 users and provides them with the capability to order from any of 34 AVID agreements.
