Rewiring Pathways and Networks by Environmental Perturbations

Marc Vidal, Ph.D.
marc_vidal@dfci.harvard.edu

Project Description

The project will use a model system of viral infections as an environmental stressor to study how cellular networks and pathways are altered. The grant will attempt to profile all binary viral-host protein-protein interactions for a group of viruses with related biological properties and systematically test each viral protein for its ability to disrupt or alter host-host protein interactions. The resulting interactions and perturbation data will be integrated with diverse genomic data sources to derive dynamic cellular network models.
