Medicaid Personal Care

The Medicaid Personal Care Program includes hands-on, in-home services provided to those who are medically and financially eligible. A medical assessment is completed by a physician, assets can be no greater than $2,000, and income can be no greater than $637 per month. Services are provided by Personal Care agencies; these agencies must have an approved certificate of need. Policies are described in the Bureau for Medical Services’ Personal Care Manual.

Services provided in Personal Care include assistance with:

  • Personal Hygiene
  • Dressing
  • Feeding
  • Nutrition
  • Environmental Support (Light Housekeeping)
  • Health-Related Tasks
