Dental School Measures Effect of NIDCR R25 Grant

Marquette University School of Dentistry is a self-described “research non-intensive” dental school in Milwaukee.  A few years ago, the dental school received an NIDCR R25 Oral Health Research Curriculum Grant to design and implement new programs in its curricula that would allow it to better teach students about the latest advances and career opportunities in the basic and clinical sciences.  The grant also allowed Marquette to provide a series of faculty development initiatives that focused on biomedical research.  In the July issue of the Journal of Dental Research, faculty members offer a four-year appraisal of their efforts.
