The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) conducts investigations
of employee misconduct and performs audits and inspections of the U.S.
Department of Justice (DOJ) programs and operations. The OIG also
investigates all allegations of fraud by contractors, grantees and
recipients of DOJ benefits, and third parties improperly seeking to
influence DOJ employees. The OIG recommends, where appropriate,
changes in policies or procedures to improve efficiency.
The OIG is headquartered in Washington, DC. Field offices are in
Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Philadelphia, PA;
San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; Jamaica, NY; Ft.
Lauderdale, FL; El Paso, TX; McAllen, TX; and Tucson, AZ. Most of
these offices utilize students hired under the Student Temporary
Employment Program to perform a variety of technical and clerical
functions. Our students are hired as Office Automation Clerks/Clerk
Typists at the
