Africa Regional Road Construction and Planning Orientation Visit

Dates: October 25-November 1, 2008

Location: Washington, D.C.

In Fall 2008, delegates from Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mozambique and Tanzania will tour demonstration sites and visit with U.S. Government agencies, private companies, industry associations, transportation authorities and other organizations and associations in the Washington, DC area. The objective of the visit is to expose the delegation to U.S. technologies, companies, policies and best practices in road building. Each of the countries has a compact agreement with the Millennium Challenge Corporation, which is providing road investments totaling approximately $1.1 billion.
