China Power Plant Emissions Monitoring and Control Technologies Orientation Visit

Dates: To be determined

Location: Washington, DC; Other cities to be announced.

USTDA is providing funding to host up to eleven officials from China's Ministry of Environmental Protection and national and provincial environmental monitoring centers who are responsible for enforcing established emissions regulations and are expected to be involved in substantial procurements of monitoring and control systems. Several thousand coal-fired power plants and factories are currently in operation in China, many of which have not been outfitted with equipment to monitor and control harmful emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and particulate matter. This OV would introduce the delegation to the U.S. government agencies which regulate and promote emissions reductions, as well as U.S. producers of equipment and services in this sector.

A business briefing will be held in Washington, DC.
