DO NOT RE-REGISTER IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS!!! PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW BEFORE CALLING OR EMAILING FOR ASSISTANCE
Make sure that you have selected the SECURE LOGIN on the RIGHT side of the screen
Type in your user name and password (They are case sensitive)
Make sure that you select "508 Universe Training"
If you forgot your PASSWORD you need to make sure that you are using the correct email address in order to receive your PASSWORD via email. To do this you need to:
Click on the "Forgot Password" under the LOGIN button
Enter the email address that you used to register for the Section 508 Universe
Select "508 Universe Training" and hit the ENTER button.
If you have used the correct EMAIL address you will get the "EMAIL SENT" screen and you will receive an email with your account information in it.
IF YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED and you cannot get to your account because you have forgotten your PASSWORD you need to contact the Section 508 Technical Assistance team so they can update your account and send you your login information.
To do this go to the "Additional Links" on the LEFT bottom side of the screen and click on "Contact Us" and click on the firstname.lastname@example.org to email for assistance or call 202-208-7420
Go to www.section508.gov
On the RIGHT side of the screen click on Register for the Section 508 Universe
Fill in the New User Registration Form
DON'T FORGET to ERASE or TYPE OVER the words in the fill in boxes when you enter your first name, last name, user name (case sensitive), password (case sensitive), and email address. (This is going to be changed to automatic type over but till then please remember to double check)
PLEASE WRITE DOWN YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD!!!
Click ENTER at the bottom of the form
The THANK YOU screen will come up. You may then log in at the bottom by clicking on the Login button. This will take you to the welcome screen with information on how to manage your account and information on courses that you have taken.
IF YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED PLEASE REMEMBER TO UPDATE IT SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION IF YOU FORGET YOUR PASSWORD.
On the RIGHT side of the screen you will see MY ACCOUNT, MY 5O8 UNIVERSE, AND SUPPORT AREAS TO ASSIST YOU WITH USING THE SITE.
The LOGOUT BUTTON is at the bottom.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRINTING YOUR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
While you are logged in or after you log in:
Under MY ACCOUNT on the left side of your screen click on VIEW TRANSCRIPT
Your completed courses are listed.
Click on VIEW CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION for the course that you want to print the certificate for.
At the top of the screen click on FILE and a drop down menu will appear.
Click on PRINT in your browser to print the certificate.
Fill in your name and the course completion date (an auto fill feature is being developed so in the future your name and completion date will be automatically filled in)
NOTE: THE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION IS ONLY GENERATED UPON COMPLETION OF A COURSE! You must complete the course before you can view the certificate.
