Gary J. Golkiewicz

Mr. Golkiewicz was appointed Chief Special Master on October 1, 1988, and entered on duty on November 10, 1988. He graduated from Canisius College, receiving a B.S. degree in accounting in 1977, and from Catholic University, receiving a J.D. degree in 1980.

Mr. Golkiewicz formerly served as Chief of Staff to Chief Judge Loren A. Smith of the United States Court of Federal Claims from April 1987 until his appointment. Previously, he was a senior attorney at the Court of Federal Claims, 1984-1987; staff attorney with the Grant Appeals Board, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 1980-1984; and law clerk with the Securities and Exchange Commission, 1980.

Mr. Golkiewicz and his wife Cindy have two daughters, Keli Lynn and Kate Marie. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Bar Association for the District of Columbia, the Federal Bar Association, and the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association.
