Volunteer Opportunities on the Uinta
The Volunteer Program has something for everyone - retirees, professionals, students, and young people, as well as service clubs and youth groups. Some volunteers work full-time for a short period of time, while others donate a few hours a day each week or contribute a one-time service. If you would like to volunteer for any of the projects listed on the linked pages below, or would like to speak with someone regarding volunteering in general, please contact us. Each of our three Ranger Districts has a Volunteer Coordinator who can help get you started! In general, volunteers should be prepared with long-sleeved shirts, long pants, boots, and gloves; we will provide hard hats and other protective equipment when necessary. We appreciate your willingness to donate your time and services.

Adopt-A-Trail
The Spanish Fork Ranger District has implemented an opportunity for individuals or groups to adopt their favorite trail! This allows anybody who wishes to volunteer, to dedicate their time and effort to improving and maintaining their favorite hiking trails!

Volunteer Opportunities in the Intermountain Region
The Forest Service's Intermountain Region covers all of Utah and Nevada, and parts of Idaho and Wyoming. The Region maintains a website with a great index of opportunities throughout these states. Visit their Volunteer Opportunities website to view more opportunities in the West.
