Lovers' Lane: One of San Francisco's Oldest Travel Coridors
In the 18th century as the original Spanish Presidio took shape at the windswept Golden Gate, the shortest distance from the fort to the pious - and passionate – options of nearby Yerba Buena was a footpath that later came to be known as “Lovers’ Lane.”
