Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities
The Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities is a State office that
promotes public policies to increase and support the inclusion of individuals
with developmental disabilities in their communities. The Council works with
public and private groups across the State to find necessary supports for
individuals with disabilities and their families, so that they may have equal
access to public education, employment, housing, health care, and all other
aspects of community life. The Council encourages individuals with
developmental disabilities and their families to play decision-making roles
in policies and programs that affect them.
We, the members and staff of the Tennessee Council on Developmental
Disabilities, hope you enjoy visiting our web site, and encourage you to

Developmental Disabilities Task Force Report:Fulfill the Promise
Throughout Tennessee communities, people with developmental
disabilities other than mental retardation have almost no programs
to assist them. With your help, these Tennesseans can finally obtain
the services promised in 2000 when state laws were changed to
make people with developmental disabilities eligible. For more information or if you want to become involved in the Fulfill the Promise campaign, click here. |
