- Vocational Training for Prospective
Employees
Workplace Solutions partners with employers to identify the qualifications and skill sets required for prospective employees. This allows our staff to work with eligible consumers to design a vocational training program consistent with the needs of businesses. - Funding Assistance for On-the-Job
Training
Funding is available to employers through the DOR to help offset the cost of providing on-the-job training to a qualified job seeker employed from our consumer database. - No-Cost Business Services
Workplace Solutions staff and their community partners provide the following no-cost resources, services and training to public and private businesses:

Consultation
Technical support and expertise provided to assess the needs of a newly hired employee with a disability or an employee who becomes disabled. - Disability Employment Law
Training
In-depth training on the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is available through a network of knowledgeable trainers. - Disability Etiquette and Sensitivity
Training Resources
Staff is available statewide to provide employers and their staff with information, tips and resources for working and interacting with individuals with disabilities.

Hiring Incentives for Businesses
There are three federal tax incentives available to help employers cover the cost of accommodations for employees with disabilities and to make their places of business accessible for employees and/or customers with disabilities.
- Services For The Blind & Visually Impaired
The California Department of Rehabilitation, Blind Field Services (BFS) offer a variety of services for both individuals with visual impairments and employers.
