This mode enables a user to learn by watching an animated demonstration of the steps for a task being performed in a simulated environment. All the required activities, such as moving the mouse and entering data, are completed automatically.

Use the following procedure to play a topic in See It! mode:

1. Select the topic you want to play in the outline.
2. Click the arrow to the right of the Play Topic button.
3. Select the See It Mode command.
4. Click the Pause link.
5. Click the Resume link.
6. Press [Esc] to exit the playback at any time.

This mode enables a user to learn interactively in a simulated environment. The user is prompted for mouse clicks and/or keystrokes to complete the task.

Use the following procedure to play a topic in Try It! mode:

1. Select the topic you want to play in the outline.
2. Click the arrow to the right of the Play Topic button.
3. Select the Try It Mode command.
4. Complete the actions as directed, or use the Actions link in the Try It! bubble to control the playback.
5. When the last frame appears, press [Enter] or use another available method to exit the playback.

This mode enables a user to learn interactively using live data. Depending upon the target application and whether the content is being played in the Thick-client Player or Browser-based Player, Do It! mode varies as indicated below:

Use the following procedure to play a topic in Do It!:

1. Select the topic you want to play in the outline.
2. Click the arrow to the right of the Play Topic button.
3. Select the Do It Mode – Manual Advance command.
4. Complete the action displayed.
5. Click Next Step.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the process is complete.
7. After completing the last step, click Close as instructed.

Know It? mode is an assessment-type of playback in which end users are instructed to complete a particular task. Users do not receive step-by-step instructions for completing a task. Instead, they need to complete the steps on their own, and they are scored on how accurately they complete them.

Use the following procedure to play a topic in Know It? mode:

1. Select the topic you want to play in the outline.
2. Click the arrow to the right of the Play Topic button.
3. Select the Know It Mode command.
4. Press [Enter] or click the Start link as directed.
5. Complete the actions for the step, or click the Show Step link to control playback.
6. Repeat the previous step until playback is complete.
7. After completing the last step, press [Enter] or click the Continue link as directed.
8. After your score is displayed, press [Enter] or click the Finish link as directed.
