Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Other Minority Institutions will compete for over $1,000,000 from the Department of Energy to conduct innovative research and development that converts and uses coal, natural gas and oil. The Department expects to announce these awards in May. NETL anticipates announcing 4 to 8 awards with a maximum value per award not to exceed $200,000. For the first time, the NETL is requiring respondents to the HBCU/OMI solicitation to use the Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS).
