Briefings

FHWA has instituted a central process for formal agency briefs. The goal is to prepare timely, coordinated, and high quality formal briefings that meet executive needs for information without undue, repetitive demands on field and HQ program offices. This Team manages a process that builds a library of material, establishes a consistent process and set of formats, with quality customer service primarily for the Secretary and Administrator. A key element is an interactive briefing module accessible through an internal network protected by user ID and password that serves as a pooled source of information for briefings. An agency-wide network of briefing coordinators are in turn led by the Lead Briefing Coordinators in the Office of Policy and Governmental Affairs. The network includes prime coordinators and backups from every HQ and field office.
