Search the ORNL Library
Catalog using the guest button. While the catalog does
not provide a comprehensive listing of all ORNL reports, the majority
are part of the library holdings. Most reports past 1996 are electronically
available. If requested, the library will scan older ORNL reports and
make them available for download through the catalog. You can request
help finding an ORNL report from the ORNL
Research Library.
The
Comprehensive Publications and Presentations Registry (CPPR)
CPPR contains the bibliographic information for ORNL reports from 1985
through 2005. The full-text of many reports are available in .pdf format
from the late 1990s onward.
ORNL's Publication Tracking System (PTS)
PTS contains information about selected scientific communications authored
or coauthored by ORNL scientists and/or by external users of ORNL facilities.
In most cases, the full text of the communication is available. The
database only contains reports from 2005 to the present.
The Information
Bridge: DOE Scientific and Technical Information
Information Bridge
provides free public access to full-text documents and bibliographic
citations of Department of Energy (DOE) research report literature. Documents
are primarily from 1994 forward and were produced by DOE, the DOE contractor
community, and/or DOE grantees. Legacy documents are added as they become
available in electronic format.
The Energy
Citations Database (ECD)
ECD
provides free access
to over 2.3 million science research citations from 1948 through the present,
with continued growth through regular updates. There are over 150,000
electronic documents, primarily from 1994 forward, available via the database.
Citations and documents are made publicly available by the U.S. Department
of Energy (DOE).
Request Electronic Copy of an ORNL Report
If a fulltext electronic copy of an ORNL published report
is not available for download, the ORNL Library will make every effort to
scan the paper copy and make a downloadable copy available through the public
library catalog. You may contact the ORNL library by email or phone the
library reference desk at 865-574-6744.
Order from NTIS
If a report is part of the library holdings, but published
by another organization, the library cannot scan the report for public distribution.
In this case, you can contact the National
Technical Information Service (NTIS). NTIS provides a catalog for online ordering of technical reports
and other government publications.
