HUD’s Direct Distribution Center:    

Many of you may already know about HUD's Direct Distribution Center but, in case the word hasn't gotten out, we would like to share the information available. The Distribution Center accepts orders for HUD forms, Handbooks, Mortgagee Letters, etc. Orders can be placed by telephone, fax, Internet or mail at: (800) 767-7468 or fax at:(202) 708-2313. Operators have a database that can do a text search to find material by key words even if you do not know the exact title or item number.

You can also view and download handbooks and mortgagee letters on-line through HUDClips.

Since it is the responsibility of the lender to ensure prompt internal distribution of HUD Handbooks, Mortgagee Letters, and other notices to all applicable personnel including underwriting staff, closing/insuring staff, servicing staff, quality-control staff, approved branches, loan correspondents, and lender selected appraiser, the Distribution Center could be very helpful to you. The Distribution Center accepts orders for HUD forms, handbooks, mortgagee letters, etc.

Lenders can also subscribe to the Single Family Housing listserv email list. Subscribers get frequent email updates to this HOC Reference Guide, training and event announcements, FHA mortgage limit increases, FHA handbooks, new mortgagee letters and other notices about your Single Family business.
