Professional Highlights |
• I worked in ocean sciences for 24 years before joining FHWA. I am experienced in physical data acquisition technology and physical data analysis.
• Work experiences include oceanographic remote sensing and satellite ground truth studies.
• Later my primary duties included processing and analyzing estuarine current speed and direction data. I was responsible for designing and implementing data collection surveys. I also processed and analyzed Tidal and non-tidal water level data.
• Harmonic and Spectral Analysis software tools were used to analyze water level data and current speed and direction data. I was responsible for developing and modifying FORTRAN applications.
• As an Oceanographer, I was required to have an intermediate level of Expertise with respect to Mainframe computers, Micros, upercomputers and super minis. I have written original software on all platforms stated.
• I have experience on the following platforms, Univac 1100, PDP8, Perkin Elmer, PDP11, IBM 360, CDC6600, Univac 1190, HP9000, Vax 700, Cyber 855, Cyber 2000 super computer; Networking prior to moving to FHWA:
• Decnet running Pathworks. Additionally, I was responsible for testing newly implemented Processing and Analysis Software. It was my responsibility to test new modules as they were implemented.
• My career with FHWA began when I was hired by Motor Carrier to work as a Management and Program Analysis. I provided analysis of motor carrier related data as requested by the Regional Director.
• I was a member of the Region One computer team for two years.
• I was on the team that developed and deployed a customer survey. I provided preliminary analysis as feedback for improving the survey.
• Additionally I designed and implemented a lotus spreadsheet for entering and scoring the survey data.
• My collateral duties included; TMS/Training Coordinator, Diversity Coordinator, Coordinated the Mentor Tutor and Computers for Schools programs and I was the International Safety Week Coordinator for two years.
• I have completed training in Novell Administration, GroupWise Administration and NT support.
