BLM Honor Guard Mission

Requesting the BLM Honor Guard

Become a member of the BLM Honor Guard

About the Honor Guard Members

Honor Guard members were selected from within the ranks of front line firefighters. These individuals were recommended by their supervisors to become the Honor Guard team to represent the BLM.

The Honor Guard is composed of a cross-section of the BLM workforce within the fire and aviation program.

Honor Guard Member Requirements

Members must attend two scheduled drill sessions. These drills will be scheduled well in advance to allow adequate time for travel arrangements.

Members must be in good standing in the Bureau and receive a written recommendation from the local area fire management officer.

A commitment to the program directly impacts fellow members and the ability of the team to function at the highest-level possible. Members will be expected to commit for no less than a one-year period, and not to exceed five years of active duty.

For those interested in becoming a member of the Honor Guard, please refer to Membership Criteria and the Operations Guide for more information about what is expected of Honor Guard members before completing this application.

If you have questions, please contact the Honor Guard Coordinator Chris Delaney via e-mail at Chris_Delaney@nv.blm.gov or by phone at 775-753-0302.
