U.S. ELECTIONS 2008

On Tuesday, November 4th, Americans voted for Senator Barack Obama as President of the United States. He won with a resounding victory of 349 to 163 Electoral Votes.  Just before midnight, McCain gave his concession of defeat speech in Arizona (read more), and Barack Obama claimed victory to a crowd of 200,000 in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois (read more).  Senator Obama remains Senator until January 20, 2009 when he assumes the role of Presidency in an inaugural ceremony in Washington, DC
