Registration for public verbal input to NOAA SAB
[NOTE - Registration is open to any interested individual, but is REQUIRED. Verbal public input will only be conducted during the period identified for public input, unless the Chair requests otherwise. Time limit for verbal input from any individual or group is 5 minutes, with follow-up questions and discussion by SAB if requested by the SAB Chair]

1430-1630 h: NOAA responses to SAB recommendations concerning the establishment of three pilot SAB Working Groups to develop review processes that will be used to review various NOAA science efforts (from July 1999 meeting of the Board)

0840-0940 h: Overview of initial NOAA efforts to establish a collaborative coastal ocean and estuarine monitoring system that measures physical, biological, and chemical parameters
(Dr. Robert Molinari – Senior Scientist, AOML (tentative); Dr. Donald Scavia – Senior Scientist, NOS)

0940-1000 h: Overview of NOAA report on "The Nation's Environmental Data: Treasures at Risk" (Executive Summary and other summary report material will be distributed at the meeting.) (Dr. Susan Zevin - Deputy Assistant Administrator, NESDIS)

1000-1015 h: BREAK

1015-1100 h: SAB discussion of NOAA report on "The Nation's Environmental Data: Treasures at Risk" (Dr. Beeton)

1530-1700 h: Concluding SAB discussions on Priority Science-related Issues for NOAA, with Sub-Committee Action Items, Next Steps and/or Preliminary Recommendations identified for any of the subjects discussed during the course of the meeting.
