DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

North Carolina: A large fire which appears to cross the Hyde and Washington county line is producing light to very dense smoke which extends well over 300km to the east fanning out to be over 400 km wide. Texas: In southern Jeff Davis county a fire is producing light to moderately dense smoke which is traveling to the NE as far as Ward county. There are a few other small fire in Schleicher and Coleman counties which are producing light smoke which is traveling to the north. There is large amounts of blowing dust in the panhandle of Texas which is traveling NE extending into the panhandle of Oklahoma. New Mexico: Smoke from a fire located in northern Eddy county is emitting light to moderately dense smoke which is moving NE extending 200km into Baily county TX. Mexico: A fire in northern Sonora county is producing large amounts of dense to moderately dense smoke which extends into Otero county NM. Canada: The large fire located between Lake Winnipeg and Cedar Lake continues to burn generating dense smoke which is moving southwest over Lake Winnipegosis. In northern Saskatchewan there are multiple fire which are emanating light to moderately dense smoke which is traveling south. An area of haze which covers the southern portion of the Northern Territories, east Alberta, all of Saskatchewan and western Manitoba can be seen in the last few visible images of the day.
