Many companies have licensed Sandia's intellectual property to improve their processes and develop new products.
Sandia holds thousands of patents, copyrights, trademarks, and maskworks that are available for licensing. Partners can license certain rights to Sandia-developed intellectual property for commercialization and/or private use. Licenses are usually non-exclusive and bear royalties. Exclusive licenses usually have limitations, such as the field or term of use, and performance requirements, such as commercialization results.
