Asset Management Privacy Notice

In addition to the items covered in the FHWA privacy policy, the Office of Asset Management provides:

• Users' Group registration for STEAM, HERS-ST, Tunnel Management and LCCA is provided. The name and contact information will be used for future e-mails. The purpose of the e-mails will be to disseminate information such as future meetings, revisions to the software, and new discussion topics.

• STEAM and HERS-ST Feedback site. The questions will be emailed directly to the contacts and answered or forwarded as appropriate. Questions and answers may be posted on a frequently asked questions page.

• A HERS-ST discussion group is provided. An discussion topic submitted will be reviewed by the moderator and posted at his/her discretion. The posted message will include your name and email address if provided. We will collect the IP address (an IP address is a number that is assigned to each computer connected to the Internet) from which you access this Web site.

• A Data Integration discussion group is provided. An discussion topic submitted will be reviewed by the moderator and posted at his/her discretion. The posted message will include your name and email address if provided. We will collect the IP address (an IP address is a number that is assigned to each computer connected to the Internet) from which you access this Web site.

• Ask the expert site for STEAM and LCCA. The questions and contact information submitted will be shared with the team members. The question and answer as provided by the teams may be posted on the team web site.

• Registration for various conferences and workshops. If you choose to register for the workshop on line, the information you provide will be forwarded to the workshop coordinator(s) and project managers. This information will be used in the same manner as all other registration information collected (e.g., registration form faxed directly to workshop coordinator) for the workshop.

• A password-protected, team only area is provided. The email address are used only as the user name and to send the password upon request. Access to the site is determined by a session cookie. The session cookie is used only to determine if a user is signed into the site.
