As of September 8, 2008, Taiwan has banned the importation of all birds originating from or moving through the state of Idaho. As of August 15, 2008, Taiwan has banned the importation of all birds originating from or moving through the state of New Hampshire. As of June 6, 2008, Taiwan has banned the importation of all birds originating from or moving through the state of Arkansas. As of February 20, 2008, Taiwan has banned the importation of all birds originating from or moving through the state of New Jersey. As of February 19, 2008, Taiwan has banned the importation of all birds originating from or moving through the state of New York. Sheep and Goats

Cervine - September 1993 (pdf 6kb) Dogs and Cats - April 2005 (pdf 5.43mb) For species not listed, the requirements are not known. However, exporters wanting to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed in the IRRS, should have the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
