Bernalillo County
Clerk Mary Herrera presented unification election information to the
Board of County Commissioners this afternoon as they convened as the
Board of Canvass. According to Clerk Herrera, 110,364 ballots were accepted
by the absentee precinct board, 1,707 ballots were rejected and a total
of 108,657 ballots were processed.
Of those rejected,
638 of the ballots were not properly marked and 1,069 were not signed
on the outer envelope. The final results were 41,863 votes for unification
and 66,794 against.
