Washington, D.C. — Nominations close August 19 for membership on the Minority Depository Institutions Advisory Committee being established by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS).
OTS Director John Reich announced July 17 that the agency was creating the Committee to help preserve minority institutions and encourage their creation. During a speech in Chicago, the Director said the Committee would be an “invaluable mechanism for exploring the needs, concerns and challenges unique to minority depository institutions, and to make recommendations concerning OTS’s supervisory expectations and processes.”
Information is attached on how to nominate individuals for the Committee, or submit the names of groups that should be represented.
