Poll Workers Needed!
 
Fair and honest elections are a cornerstone of our democracy. Our system of self-government depends upon citizens’ faith in the election system. We can not do it with you’re your help!
 
 
Serving as a poll worker is a tremendous opportunity to put your patriotism into action. It is also a great way to serve your community in an important position of trust.
 
Summary of Qualifications
  • You must be a registered voter in Bernalillo County.
  • You cannot be a candidate or related to any candidate on the ballot.
  • You cannot be a law enforcement officer.
  • You must be mentally and physically able to perform the assigned tasks.
  • You must be able to attend one 2-3 hour training course prior to the election (our office will notify you of available times).
 
Job Requirements
Poll Workers must arrive at 6 a.m. The polls close at 7 p.m., but additional duties are required after the polls close. You may be working a 14-16 hour day. Be self-sufficient and bring food and other necessities you will need for the day. 
 
 
Compensation
Yes, you will be compensated for participating in the election as an Election Worker. For working at the polls you will receive $125.00 and an additional $35.00 for attending the mandatory training course.
