Biosketch:
Jan Leahey, is currently the Program Coordinator for the Obstetric Pediatric Pharmacology Branch, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health. She presently oversees all administrative activities for the branch including the budget, contracts, and staffing. Prior to this, Ms. Leahey served as the Executive Secretary of the Federal Advisory Committee for the National Children's Study.
Ms. Leahey, received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland. She has worked in the Department of Health and Human Services, including the Office of Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Ms. Leahey worked in the area of government contracts for more than 10 years, and during the 1990's was designated as an HHS Contracting Officer. Prior to working in the OPPB, Ms. Leahey worked as an NIH Contracting Officer for the NICHD.
