Biosketch: 
Charisee A. Lamar, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.R.T., joined the RSB in May 2005, and is Director of the Interdisciplinary Research and Reproductive Biology Program which includes studies on fertility preservation. She is the Director of the Reproductive Neuroendocrinology Program. She also directs the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Heath (BIRCWH) career development program. Dr. Lamar received her undergraduate degree in Respiratory Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia, and became a Registered Respiratory Therapist 1989. She earned a doctoral degree in endocrinology from the Medical College of Georgia, and received a Masters in Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Lamar was a National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH Cancer Prevention Fellow from 1998-2002, where her research focused on the role of sex hormones and hormone receptors in the risk of breast cancer. Prior to joining NICHD, she was the Centers Program Director at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), NIH.
