National Sea Grant College ProgramThe National Sea Grant College Program engages the nation's top universities and research institutions in conducting scientific research, education, and extension projects designed to better understand and use our ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources. Sea Grant focuses on three major areas:
The 30 Sea Grant Programs are a dynamic, national network of participating institutions who study aquaculture, aquatic nuisance species, coastal hazards, fisheries and seafood safety, coastal community development, and water quality. Sea Grant activities exist at the nexus of local, state, national and sometimes international interests. In this way, local needs receive national attention, and a national commitment is fulfilled at the local level. Contact the institution in the region of interest for more information. For more information about this program please contact: Dr. Leon Cammen, Director
