Purpose

To assign a program class code (PCC) to NIAID competing grant applications for scientific and administrative management of applications.

The PCC indicates a scientific program within one of the extramural divisions, a category of research, and the assigned program officer.

Referral and Program Analysis Branch Staff

  • Give unsolicited applications a PCC, based on NIAID referral guidelines, established by the extramural program divisions.
