Radiological Sciences
With experience in nuclear research stretching back more than 40 years, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory conducts radiological research to clean up the legacy of nuclear material production and expand beneficial uses of nuclear power and materials while protecting human health and the environment. PNNL performs applied research in health physics and nuclear engineering to develop protocols and technologies to protect people and environment.
At the Radiochemical Processing Laboratory, PNNL uses its expertise in radiochemical sciences and engineering to provide solutions for nuclear nonproliferation, environmental cleanup, advanced nuclear energy, medical isotope development and industrial processes.
