The Information Line was a creation of the "Love Shouldn't Hurt" Campaign, a King County (Washington) region-wide public education campaign that was undertaken in 1994. The goal of "Love Shouldn't Hurt" is domestic and dating violence prevention. The "Love Shouldn't Hurt" Campaign was a collaborative effort involving domestic violence victim service agencies, perpetrator treatment professionals, King County government, the City of Seattle, and individuals in the community.
