Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management
The Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division (HSEMD) plans for and responds to both natural and human-caused disasters. The Division helps to coordinate activities before, during and after emergencies through partnerships with local, state, federal and private agencies. The Division’s main objectives are to preserve life and reduce the impact of disasters.
