Launch of Next Generation of PEPFAR Indicators Project - Technical Experts Invited to Join ConsultationPrinter Friendly Version (PDF) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Washington, DC - On Wednesday, January 16, the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) will launch a project to examine its program reporting indicators. As PEPFAR moves into its next phase, the program aims to better support national reporting systems and increase the relevance of results reporting to both the field and headquarters. Towards this goal, PEPFAR is coordinating a process that results in recommendations for the next generation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) indicators reported by U.S. Government country teams to PEPFAR. All PEPFAR partners are invited to participate in this indicator development effort. The Global Health Council is partnering with PEPFAR to ensure a process for the successful participation of PEPFAR implementing partners. The project will draw on the expertise of the PEPFAR program area technical working groups, with additional input from implementing partners and other experts in the field.
Participants are asked to RSVP for the Launch Meeting with an email notice to Smita Baruah at sbaruah@globalhealth.org. Who should attend? Representatives with the appropriate expertise to address the identification and definition of monitoring and evaluation indicators are encouraged to attend. PEPFAR is seeking this specific technical skill - rather than programmatic, policy, advocacy, etc. - as the products to be generated are restricted in content. What are the goals of the project?
