The next session of NIAID and NIH Grants Policy and Management Training will be held as follows:

  • La Palm Hotel in Accra, Ghana
  • September 8 to 10, 2008
  • Agenda

This workshop provides NIAID foreign grantees and subcontractors of U.S. grantees with information, tips, and resources to help their understanding of NIH funding policies and effective management of their awards.

One of the keys to successfully administering NIAID-funded research grants is the effective management of funds as well as remaining compliant with NIH grant policies. Cultures and business practices among partner countries differ from those of NIAID, underscoring the need to provide training to ensure foreign awardees understand and adhere to NIH’s grant policies.

Hosting this workshop within Africa will ensure that key personnel such as business officials and principal investigators who are instrumental to the administration of a grant are able to participate in the training.

Watch this space for future workshop and trainings.
